The above image is the third image to surface from Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans. It’s not that exciting but it is one of only a handful of images released so far (you can view the first two images here).  The image features Gemma Arterton in costume as her character Io, Perseus’ (Sam Worthington) mysterious spiritual guide on his journey to save Andromeda (Alexa Davalos).

In Greek mythology, Io was a priestess of Hera in Argos who after being seduced by Zeus is turned into a Heifer (cow).  It is uncertain how or if the Greek mythology is worked into the new film.

23 year old Arterton previously starred in RocknRolla, A Deal is a Deal, and St. Trinian’s.  She also has three movies slated for release during 2009-2010: The Disappearance of Alice Creed, The Boat That Rocked, and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Clash of the Titans follows Perseus who embarks on a quest to save a Princess (Andromeda) and along the way is forced to battle various mythical beasts, including Medusa and the Kraken.

Clash of the Titans will be released in theaters:
USA & UK – March 26, 2010
Australia – April 1, 2010
