Avatar: The Game will be released ahead of the movie but you’ll be able to play it without spoilers. Although the game takes place in the same world as depicted in the film (on the moon Pandora) it will work parallel to the movie with its own unique storyline. It will boast all of the CG assets from the film as well as its own new creatures, new weapons and a whole host of other new candy specific to the game.
It will be available on PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Wii during December 2009 sometime prior to the movie – the exact date has yet to be announced.
Avatar (the film) hits theaters:
