Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has premiered in Tokyo.  The feedback pouring in is very much “if you liked Transformers 1 you’ll love Transformers 2.”

Also, just prior to its premiere Michael Bay announced on his forum that the way to see the film is at IMAX because there are extra robot fighting scenes, some spectacularly detailed rendering, and you can also see Optimus Prime standing in a few shots in complete scale.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan you probably won’t be pleased about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s IMAX run because news is it has pushed out the IMAX release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to July 29th – two weeks after it’s theatrical launch, by which time you’ll probably have already seen the film.  Don’t be too upset though because unlike Transformers 2 there’s apparently nothing special about the IMAX version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
