‘Twilight’ Recognized As A “Film Of Vision”
On June 27 the 36th Annual Vision Awards will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and this year Twilight finds itself amongst the years honorees. According to the Awards press release, Twilight will be recognized as a “film of vision”.
The Annual Vision Awards is a fundraising event that honors entertainment, business and medical professionals who have exhibited exceptional gifts of sight, foresight and insight in the creative arts, related technologies and medical research. The event is presented by RP International, the leading non-profit organization in the US fighting Retinitis Pigmentosa and other blinding eye diseases. RP International raises funds to support facilities that specialize in all degenerative eye research.
The Annual Vision Awards are a noble cause and the more support they gain the better, but I’d still like to know exactly why they have selected Twilight as their “film of vision.” Anyone?

Maybe “Insight” means “Total ignorance of any other media that involves vampires”?

Well, to be fair to the organization that designated “Twilight” as a “film of vision,” they didn’t say what kind of vision the film demonstrated. For instance, if they meant “lousy, cliched vision,” then I would wholeheartedly agree with them.

Hahahha Jason!!! I was trying to take seriously this note but then I saw your post and I lost it
I was thinking that is obviously not an artistical decision as an economic one. Only people in brain development process (emo teens) can digest… And doesn’t have anything else to spend their money so this organization saw a very lucrative opportunity…
Or maybe everyone within the organization has retinitis!! That can explain everything

Twilight has more crazed fans than a..crazy..type..mad..thing does…so yeah, if you want to raise crazy amounts of money, then it makes sense to target the crazies…
