Universal Picks Up The Adjustment Bureau

Matt Damon will star in The Adjustment Bureau
Universal Pictures has reportedly picked up the rights to The Adjustment Bureau – a contemporary sci fi drama to star Matt Damon. Damon will play a politician who falls in love with a ballerina, only to discover mysterious forces try to keep them apart.
The Adjustment Bureau is written by George Nolfi (Bourne Ultimatum) based loosely upon a 1954 short story by Philip K. Dick. Other films adapted from Dick’s stories include Minority Report, Blade Runner and Total Recall.
Media Rights Capital are producing and financing the movie, said to be in the $60-$65 million range.
Production is set to start mid year with a scheduled release date sometime in 2010.
