Updates: ‘X-Men 4′, ‘X-Men 5′, ‘Deadpool’, ‘X-Men: First Class’
Discussions underway for X-Men 4 and X-Men 5
Recently a special event was held to promote the soon to be released X-Men Origins: Wolverine DVD and Blu-ray. X-Men Origins: Wolverine director Gavin Hood attended the event together with X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner.
I’ve already posted the key info that surfaced regarding Gavin Hood, which was basically that he’s not yet attached to direct X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 and that the film is still a long way off. You can read that article here.
But it seems the most interesting information to surface came from Donner who served up some tidbits on X-Men 4, X-Men 5, and X-Men: First Class. She also commented on what she thinks about the controversy surrounding Ryan Reynolds taking on the starring roles in both Deadpool and The Green Lantern.
Confirmation that discussions are underway for X-Men 4 and 5:
I think there are some wonderful storylines I’d like to pursue in X-Men 4 and 5, but who knows? Obviously Fox is my partner, so we’re in discussions about what will be next
On whether or not she has an issue with Ryan Reynolds playing both Deadpool and The Green Lantern:
Not on my end, personally, not on my end, no. I think you can do different characters. We’ve had different Bonds right, and I think if Harrison Ford can be in Indiana Jones and he can be in the Tom Clancy movies, I think if you are a good actor you become the character and it’s alright.
Whilst she didn’t reveal anything we didn’t already know about X-Men: First Class, she did make a brief comment about the potential for Bryan Singer, who directed X-Men and X2, to return to direct the prequel:
There’s a possibility.
That might be a good possibility given Donner added that Singer would not be too busy with other projects, though it’s hard to fathom how that can be possible when you consider just how many projects Singer currently has on his plate. Perhaps his Battlestar Galactica feature film is a lot further off than the 2011 date it has been tentatively scheduled for.
Either way, all pretty good news for fans of X-Men.

In X-Men 4 & 5 The X-Men should wear the exact same costumes as the original skintight ones in the comics and in X-Men: First Class Cyclops Beast Angel Jean Grey and Iceman should wear the suits that they wore in their first appearances in 1963.

X-Men 4 and 5 would be nice and try to fix what The Last Stand messed up. Maybe have a different bad guy other then Magneto. There are plenty of other bad guys then Magneto, and it’s about time they started exploring that. Like:
The Hellfire Club
The Skrulls
Arcade
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
Hell what would be nice is if they had Wolverine or Rogue kill Magneto, it would be nice to see Rogue do it. No one dies in these movies and death would be a nice change. And that would set up for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as the bad guys. It’d be a great.

Magneto and xavier are both still alive at the end of X3. As long as they are alive there will always be a constant battle of power.

the villians of the rest of the series should be based off of the mr. sinister, and apocalypse stories. it’ll be stupid if they finish the series without these main villians. as well as their giant plots.
and Xavier wasn’t alive at the end of X3. neither was Cyclops which is stupid unless perhaps they are in another dimension “shadow world anyone?” X3 did a lot of damage someone should have stopped it. Is Jean supposed to come back as phoenix again? WTF? way to force a rehash. end the second movie on a bad note. (reference, Empire Strikes Back lord of Sci-Fi trilogies.)
i’m not trying to be the nerd or whatever but seriously make a coherent script for the trilogy or series before you spend millions. and gambits guest appearance in the “wolverine story” is not enough for a true fan. don’t make a bunch of ‘Origins’ movies until you finish the freakin story. freakin writers. just hire John Favreau. Forget everything i said just get John Favreau!

Yes, Xavier was alive at the end of X3 – he transferred his consciousness into the brain of that brain dead man, as we see at the end of the movie.
I hope they do include Wolverine in the First Class movie. Before anyone cyber-kills me, Wolverine IS in the First Class X-Men comics – I have a stack of them at home, so I know.

They killed off Jean and Cyclops who were main characters. The love triangle was a big part in the movies. Now Wolverine has nothing to do. And the younger x men weren’t shown much in the third one…no character growth. Nobody really cares about them now.

I’d like if the movie should make X men after the Last Stand.
X men 3 wasn’t the end of war.X men 3 wasn’t the last battle.
the Last War for the X men story is about Apocalypse.
Ian Mckellen as Magneto was still have a power.
Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier was still alive.
Famke Janssen as Jean Grey / Phoenix was so strong and she have
to come back to be the Dark Phoenix.
James Marsden as Scott / Cyclops he should come again
and he didn’t die actually.

X men 4 and 5 are going to become so amazing. we want you to try to repair what the Last Stand messed up.perhaps have a different villains other then the Brotherhood. but we want you to make a movie about among the X men and the Brotherhood have to plot just like X men 2, and in this movie we want you to introduce the Hellfire Club one have to plot with X men and brotherhood.

X1, went fine they forgot jubilee and beast should have been in that including the brother hood, juggernaught should have been a hit man for higher payed by mr sinister.
x2, add nightcrawler and morph to the roster, with the battle of master mold being a major battle then have sinister come back abduct morph, then some stuff about the phoenix by that happening go to professoe x and lilandra connection, ccyclopse killed by dark phoenix.
x3, picks up comeing home from space, to egypt, professor x gets a glimpse of apocolypse, wolverine leaves, the mutant war brings wolveine back as well as the whole gang, good vs bad, this part would be a two part film.
x3pt2, new costumes introduced make it 90’s version. lil brother hood trouble but the goal is to get to the savageland rescue magneto and professor x, go to africa meet balck panther for a blessing for safe passage, then the signs of apacolypse ressurection. at the end of the movie show a statue.
x4,gambit captured by morlocks, storm taken over by saurmon (that Pterydactal looking dude.)rogue meets a woman in a hospital finds her attacker happens to be mrs. marvel now rogue fully evolves, ice man performs his ice glide during an immediate evac situation. bishop delivers a message ” save the future…” and leaves after his device recharges, cyclopse and jean gets married. morph continues to play x-men by mr. sinister.
ive seen all the cartoons all the comics me personally if they follow the cartoon the movies will be emmaculate guaranteed

I just hope that it will come out soon.
I hope that the special efects and action and also new characters will be in the first plan of the movie than the love story and drama.
I love X-Men movies because ther is not so much love in it, like in Spider-Man. Its ok like it was in the first 3 parts and it should stay that way.
We need to see more special efects and new charaters!!!

Why is it always about wolverine and Magneto in these movies anyways. They need to stick the past cartoon series. Phoenix/Jean gary, Xavier, emma frost, storm, gambit and nightcrawler are very interesting to watch. They need new villains like Apocalypse, omega red, dark phoenix or sinister should be the primary focus on these movies other then magneto.
