ABC has announced that their Sci Fi TV Show V, which had 4 episodes shown already, will only continue with the next episodes in March 2010. This follows the trends of TV Shows going on vacations until next year. Season 1 Episode 4 “It’s only the beginning” has aired on November 24, 2009. The next episode, Season 1 Episode 5 will air some time in March 2010.

Damm…. Just when it was getting good.. it is basically killed.

Defying Gravity at least got to produce all their episodes..

and recently came word that Day One from NBC is going poof.

Scifi on TV is a dying breed. Maybe some live action shows in the vein of Tripping the Rift or some other comedy scifi is what we need..

I absolutely HATE this scheduling tactic. Battlestar Galactica pulled this crap (on an ever worse scale) and my wife and I nearly walked away from it.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder…so the saying goes. This does not apply to television. Absence causes watchers to abandon shows.

ABC (and all networks) show some scheduling consistency!! And I agree with JohnCrichton…SF is indeed a dying breed on television. Networks and writers just don’t get it.

The irony is, the article after this one (What Makes A Sci-Fi Genre Show A Survivor?) goes on about how Sci Fi on TV is struggling to raise advertising revenue, due to the lack of ‘Good, steady, audience figures’. Is it any wondr when the networks royally screw up the scheduling in this way? How do they honestly expect audiences to stick with something when there are so many schedules that include the word ‘hiatus’ in them – come on networks, pull your finger out – we can deal with a short ‘mid season’ break, and a longer ‘end of season’ break, but when you fragment a show so often, it makes it hard to follow – sepecially when you consider that people just don’t have the inclination to be messed about trying to figure out and remember when the show they’re watching next airs. We need to know that when we tune in, at a particular time, on a particular day of the week, that the show we want to watch will be on. SORT IT OUT!!

THis is crazy..wait til March for new episodes. I’m done with V or any show that makes you three months in the middle of the season. ABC sucks..

REALLY? I am very disappointed. I loved V as a kid and recently re-watched the mini-series. When I saw that V was appearing on T.V. the night I worked I was distraught. Thanks to Hulu, I was still able to watch albeit the weekend after airing….NOW they are pulling this crap? :(

I’ve walked away from several shows that do this sort of thing. Heroes, Lost, Supernatural, Fringe. It’s the regularity that keeps me with the shows and when there’s a break I just get interested in something else.

YOU ARE A JOKE! Actors are here to serve the public that are fans of the work they do, writers, companies, or whoever the @#$# takes care of CONSISTENCY needs to have their shins hit with meter sticks to get the point of the frustrations created when you think you can pull crap like this! Holidays are one thing, and MILD breakes are another but I do not pay for your salaries and for entertainment so that you can do it when you want to! Truth is I will not watch House or “V” again and will not renew my satellite subscription that allows me to watch these shows because of this Sh_t. What can I say, you piss me off you can bet so many others are being GENTLE and TACTILE with their words, but that’s like punishing a child with candy in a timeout…it’s not enough to move discipline in the way that is needed! Either you change or watch your views and subscribers diminish! I am gone lazy workers!

Even though I am upset that I have to wait until March to see the 5th episode, I am glad to hear that it is not canceled. I was a fan of the original V and was very excited to see it again. Thanks ABC!

the least you jackass’s can do while these shows are on break is putt something on that is worth a shit. I pay way to much to have to tolerate this crap. what good is having the dvr if you have to rent movies to see something new.

When in March does the show continue? I am getting really pissed off with ABC. First they put it on hold for three months now I can’t find the date that it resumes on.

Starting with Diana ( Jane Badler )

John May ( Michael Truco ) is also said to have a part as well.

that is all i know currently
