Valerie Cruz to play a vampire in True Blood
Valerie Cruz has scored a recurring role in Season 2 of HBO’s top rated vampire drama, True Blood.
Cruz, who is well known for her role as Lt. Connie Murphy in The Dresden Files and more recently as Sylvia Prado in Dexter, will play an elegant Hispanic vampire named Isabel.
She can also be seen in upcoming sci-fi actioner The Devil’s Tomb where she plays a CIA Operative that hires an elite soldier (Cuba Gooding Jr) to rescue a scientist (Ron Perlman) from an underground laboratory that, it turns out, harbors a creature not of this Earth. The Devils Tomb is scheduled for release in October 2009.
The first episode of True Blood’s season 2 will air 3 May 2009.

I have a True Blood poster signed by Ryan Kwanten if anyone is interested. Showtime values it at $100 but I’m open to any offers.
