‘Astro Boy’ Trailer
During the week a Japanese Teaser Trailer for Astro Boy was launched. Whilst it didn’t contain anything not seen in the main Astro Boy trailer released in March, it did make us realize that we never actually posted the original trailer (our bad because it’s really quite cool). So here it is:
Astro Boy is set in futuristic Metro City and follows a young robot built with incredible powers by a brilliant scientist trying to replace the son that he has lost. The young robot (Astro Boy) is unable to fulfill the grieving man’s expectations and so embarks on a journey to learn about himeslf, the world, and ultimately must battle to save Metro City.
Freddie Highmore (The Spiderwick Chronicles / The Golden Compass) provides the voice of Astro Boy and Nicolas Cage is the voice of Dr. Tenma. Donald Sutherland and Kristen Bell’s (Heroes) voices are also featured.
Astro Boy hits theaters October 23 2009.
