Which ‘X-Men’ Film Will Bryan Singer Helm?
Though X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer has a ton of projects on his plate there’s been plenty of talk about his potential return to the X-Men universe over the last few months.
More recently, X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner confirmed there was a possibility that Singer would direct X-Men: First Class, the new X-Men prequel movie Fox has in development.
On Sunday Singer weighed in, confirming that he’s interested to make more X-Men films, but X-Men: First Class wasn’t the film he might have hinted at.
“I’m still looking to possibly returning to the X-Men franchise. I’ve been talking to Fox about it,” Singer said at a talk at South Korea’s Pusan International Film Festival. “I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast,” he said.
In context with the first X-Men movie, an appearance by Wolverine in X-Men: First Class would make no sense unless it was a fleeting cameo only. In turn this leaves me wondering if Singer is eyeing off X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2. One way or the other, it’s looking more and more likely he’ll be helming one of these films.
