To celebrate this week’s release of director Christian Alvart’s highly anticipated sci-fi thriller Pandorum, Sci Fi Scoop and Overture Film’s are offering US residents the chance to win some cool goodies.
How would you like your very own Pandorum poster and a DVD pack that contains all three Resident Evil films for free? Simply enter our Pandorum giveaway competition and that’s exactly what you might win!
How to Enter
Here’s what you have to do, and it couldn’t be any easier. Simply head to our contact form and send us an email. In the email:
- tell us why you’re keen to see Pandorum in as few or as many words as you choose
- include your real NAME and ADDRESS (so that we can mail your goodies to you if you win)
- include your AGE (you must be over the age of 13 to enter)
It’s as simple as that!
How we’ll choose a winner
Winners will be chosen according to which entry grabs us the most. Obviously we’re looking for the best, most creative reason offered for why you want to see Pandorum. Feel free to be humorous!

Entries are open effective from now and entries close September 25, 2009 (the day Pandorum is released).
Entry criteria and disclaimers
1. Entries accepted only via email from our contact form.
2. Only ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Break this rule and there’s no chance we’ll pick you as a winner!
3. You must include your full NAME, ADDRESS and AGE with your entry or it will be void.
4. The competition is open to anyone and everyone in the US over the age of 13 years, except of course friends and family members of Sci Fi Scoop.
5. All prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemption and/or substitutions available. Prizes are supplied by Overture Film’s who reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value.
6. Prizes will be sent directly to the winner at the address specified in the competition entry. Be sure to include the right one!
7. The winner will be notified via return email.
8. The competition is available only to legal residents of the United States age 13 or older. We reserve the right to request proof of your age prior to shipment of goods.
9. Warranties and prize functionality remains the sole responsibilitiy of the manufacturer.
10. By entering the competition you warrant acceptance that Sci Fi Scoop cannot be held liable for product fitness, merchantability, or damaged goods. You recognize that the competition and all associated prizes are held and offered in good faith.

Now, this competition is for Pandorum so just in case you’ve been living in a cave somewhere and haven’t heard about the film, here’s the run down.
Pandorum has been compared to a mixture of Cube/Lost/Alien/Hellraiser IV and Resident Evil. It follows a group of people who wake up on a massive city-sized spacecraft with no memory of who they are or why they are there…and if the trailer below doesn’t make it clear to you, they are not alone.
Here’s the full synopsis:
Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. Corporal Bower (Foster), the younger of the two, crawls inside, while the other, Lt. Payton (Quaid), stays behind for guidance on a radio transmitter. As Bower ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking and deadly secrets come unraveled, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.
The film is produced by Martin Moszkowicz (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Dave Morrison and is directed by Christian Alvart (Case 39 / Antibodies).
The cast includes Ben Foster (X:Men The Last Stand / Punisher), Dennis Quad (Day After Tomorrow / Frequency), Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down / The Unborn), Eddie Rouse (The Number 23 / American Gangster), Normal Reedus (Blade 2 / Hero Wanted), beautiful German Actress Antje Traue, and Mixed Martial Arts fighting champion Cung Le (Tekken / Dark Assasin).
