It’s early days yet but the good news for fans of the World War Robot graphic novel is that producer Jerry Bruckheimer has snapped up the feature film rights.

World War Robot was conceived and written by Ashley Wood and T P Louise and published by IDW Publishing (publishers of Popbot, Lore, and Metal Gear Solid). It follows a war between humans and robots that takes place on the Earth, the Moon and Mars, recounted in the form of war-diaries written by both sides.

Variety report that the deal was closed at last week’s San Diego Comic-con.

Ashley Wood and IDW head Ted Adams are expected to exec produce.

No further details are to hand.
