‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine Music’ Score Excerpts
Colosseum ‘The Soundtrack Specialists’ have posted samples of four of the tracks from the soon to be released soundtrack to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. If track 1 ‘Logan Through Time’ is any indication of the film score, it’s going to be a good one.
Have a listen to them at Colosseum ‘The Soundtrack Specialists’.
Wolverine’s music comes from veteran Harry Gregson-Williams who’s more than 70 film and video scores include The Chronicles of Narnia series, The Forbidden Kingdom and Gone Baby Gone. His music will also feature in the upcoming The Taking of Pelham 123 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
The soundtrack to X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be released 28 April 2009. You can preorder it from Amazon for US$13.99.

He did NOT score “I am LEgend”. That was James Newton Howard.

You are correct, he had nothing to do with the score. To be more specific, he wrote “Flying Talking Donkey” which featured on the I Am Legend soundtrack.

So I just got a sneek peak at the intro to the movie and I was a bit disappointed in the music, in the intro showing logan and sabortooth fighting side be side through the wars they used the exact soundtrack from transformers written by Steve Jablonsky. I believe that track was named Optimus Vs. Megatron. Now I am not saying the music is not amazing. I love the transformers soundtrack I think both Steve Jablonsky and Harry Gregson-williams are complete geniuses, I am just a little miffed that an amazing opening to a movie does not have an epic piece of original music to go with it.

Gah! never mind, apparently the clip my friend sent me was the unfinished version, so borrowed music is not such a bad deal, never mind my rant, I feel stupid now, I am sure the music that they ended up with was great.
