2033 is a Mexican sci-fi film that depicts a future society in the year 2033 that is completely controlled and repressed by a military government.

The story takes place in a city named Villaparaiso (Paradise City) and follows Pablo (Claudio Lafarga), Father Miguel (Marco Antonio Treviño) and Lucía (Sandra Echeverría) as they fight to destroy the system of government control known as PACTIA – an addictive drug dispersed in the form of a drink.
