Here’s a clip courtesy of Sci Fi Wire from the upcoming 3-D animated sci-fi film Battle for Terra titled ‘Invasion’. Cool looking film:
The story centers around a peaceful alien planet that faces annihilation from the homeless remainder of the human race, which feels it must take the peaceful planet Terra by force if the human race is to survive. But of course there are some good humans who don’t agree, and who choose to help the Terrans.
It boasts voices from an all star cast, including Brian Cox, Luke Wilson, David Cross, Justin Long, Amanda Peet, Dennis Quaid, Chris Evans, James Garner, Ron Perlman, Danny Glover, Danny Trejo, and Rosanna Arquette.
Battle for Terra opens in US theaters 1 May 2009.
Australian and UK premiere dates are not yet known.
Lionsgate will shortly release the 3D animated sci-fi aventure film, The Battle for Terra. They’ve only just released the trailer and I have to say for the kind of movie it is, I like it.

The Battle for Terra has been a long time coming -- it is a remake of a 2003 short called Terra and was actually first released at the Toronto Film Festival way back in 2007. It has since been played on the screens of a few other US and UK film festivals.
But at last it will be released in the mainstream much to the enjoyment of many youngsters (and adults that use their children as an excuse to go see it).
Look out for it in theatres 1 May 2009. Enjoy the trailer:
