‘Dead Space’ Live Action Feature Film in Development
D.J. Caruso has been hired to direct a live action feature film adaptation of Electronic Arts’ hit video game Dead Space, reports Variety.
Dead Space is set in deep space during the 26th century. If tells the story of an engineer who responds to a distress signal from a mining ship only to find the ship infested with monstrous creatures called Necromorphs. The creatures are human corpses, reanimated by an alien virus.
Electronic Arts launched the game in 2008 and is working on the second and third installments.
D.J. Caruso’s previous directing credits include Eagle Eye, Disturbia and Taking Lives.
