Over the past week the Cartoon Network has released quite a few clips and promo’s for the soon to be released second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Rise of the Bounty Hunters.
Bounty Hunter Cad Bane in 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Season 2
When its first season premiered Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes ranked #1 on all TV with boys 6-11 making it one of the most popular children’s animated series in the world. Not really surprising considering it is shown on the Cartoon Network in more than 97 million U.S. homes and 166 countries around the world and, of course, it’s Star Wars.
Each episode of The Clone Wars is typically 30 minutes long however this year the Cartoon Network plans to kick off the 22 episode second season, Rise of the Bounty Hunters, with a special one-hour launch.
The second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars promises to be darker and a little more violent.
Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni says, “The second season is a bit darker. We have the rise of the bounty hunters entering the war — bringing in a lot of chaos and a whole new set of problems for Anakin and Obi-Wan.”
Obi Wan confronts General Grievous in this clip from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It’s titled Obi Wan vs Grievous but really it’s more Obi Wan vs Grievous’ robots. Still, it’s cool.
