Can you imagine how cool (or perhaps crazy) you’d look riding your motorcycle through the streets dressed as Batman? Imagine no more.

Thanks to a heads up from Slashfilm I’ve become aware that Amazon have reduced their Limited Edition Batman Begins Blu-Ray Giftset from $49.99 to $14.49 (those are US prices). That’s only 6 cents more expensive than the current second hand price and is actually cheaper than the Blu-Ray on its own.
The Limited Edition Batman Begins Blu-Ray Giftset includes the original Batman Begins Blu-Ray, a 32-page exclusive Dark Knight Prologue book, 16-page comic book of the first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight, a Batman Begins lenticular and five collectible post cards. You also get a discount ticket to see The Dark Knight in theaters which should be fun to try and use now that it’s no longer in theaters.
By now you’d be aware that The Dark Knight won more awards than any other film or television show at the 35th annual Saturn Awards (full list of winners here).
One of the awards The Dark Knight scored was ‘Best Music’ courtesy of a brilliant score by famed music composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard (listen to samples of the tracks in the Amazon widget above).
Steve ‘Frosty’ Weintraub from Collider attended the awards and managed to score a backstage interview with the pair in which they quite humorously talk about The Dark Knight, their friendship and the projects they are working on now. Watch it below:
Robert Downey Jr. Wins Best Actor Saturn Award For 'Iron Man'
Iron Man has won the Best Science Fiction film award at the 35th annual Saturn Awards.
Iron Man won an additional two awards. One went to Robert Downey Jr. for Best Actor and the other to Jon Favreau for Best Director.
Unsurprisingly The Dark Knight was the film that topped the awards ceremony on Wednesday night winning five awards amongst which included another Best Supporting Actor award for Heath Ledger’s role as the Joker.
On the television side of things Battlestar Galactica was the top pick winning three awards including best syndicated/cable TV series. Edward James Olmos won the Best Actor On Television award for his role as William Adama in the series.
However it was Lost that won the Best Television Series award.
Special awards went to actor Lance Henriksen who earned the Life Career Award and Leonard Nimoy who was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
No official word on Christopher Nolan's involvement with 'Batman 3'
This week rumors have rampaged across the internet claiming that The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan is not going to return for a third Batman film. Needless to say Bat-fans are worried but if you’re one of them you should sit back, take a breath and realize that these are, at least for now, just rumors.
The first thing to realize is that Christopher Nolan had to be lobbied to become involved with The Dark Knight. After Batman Begins it was uncertain if he would return for the sequel. The situation with the third movie isn’t a great deal different. His involvement may yet be announced at the last minute.
The major difference with the present scenario seems to be the death of Heath Ledger. Reports indicate the third film was originally planned to include the Joker, but with the death of Heath Ledger the story for a third film has to start from scratch. Christopher Nolan was said to have been hit hard by Ledger’s death, something which is said to have been a major factor in his supposed decision not to helm the next film.
Nonetheless, Nolan has reportedly discussed story ideas for the third film with writer David Goyer and whilst this doesn’t guarantee his involvement, it certainly indicates his interest to remain connected with the film – at least in some capacity.
Batman 3 is a long way off and may not hit theaters for another 3-4 years. When you consider how far away the film is from a release it puts the news that Nolan has yet to sign on into a little more perspective.
In any case, as it stands Batman 3 doesn’t have a story and is a long way off from production. All fans can do is be patient for the official word, one way or the other.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in 'The Dark Knight'
Speaking with Total Film, Christian Bale has confirmed that he’s under contract to reprise his role as the Dark Knight in a third Batman film. He acknowledges he wouldn’t want to do a third Batman film without the right story but adds that in the end he has no choice, unlike Christopher Nolan who isn’t under contract.
“Will we do a third movie? It’s got to be the right story. You can’t make something like The Dark Knight and then come out with something disappointing,” he said. “The fact is, I have to! I’ve signed up! Chris doesn’t. So I’m in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn’t want to!”
He also states how delighted he was to see Heath Ledger win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar and for Ledger’s family to accept the award, adding also that he wasn’t surprised The Dark Knight didn’t win more Oscars.
“I’m not surprised by The Dark Knight not getting more Oscars though. I’m not really surprised by anything to do with awards. Hey listen, awards or not it’s a wonderful movie. Chris Nolan did such a fantastic job of it and you look back at the history of the Oscars – some of the best movies never got shit.”
