Green Lantern has been named as the most anticipated movies at the forthcoming Scream Awards that will be aired on Tuesday night on Spike TV. The character of Green Lantern was inspired by the character of DC Comics and it has been hyped as the most anticipated movie that is to be screened at the upcoming event. In recent related news it has been stated that the writer of Green Lantern Geoff Johns has been named as the “Best Comic Book Writer” in the same event and according reelzchannel.com this is the second time in a row that he has bagged this award.

Bad news for the Australian film industry, and bad news for the cast, crew and fans of The Green Lantern – the film will no longer be shot in Australia.
The U.S. dollar has been falling and the Australian dollar strengthening, resulting in the conversion between the two currencies losing the value that was previously offered when Warner Bros. Pictures elected to shoot The Green Lantern in Australia.

Rob Liefeld, who alongside writer Fabian Nicieza created the Marvel Comic’s character Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool), has confirmed a few tidbits regarding development of the new Deadpool feature film.
First off, the rumor mill has been spreading speculation that Ryan Reynolds was set to lose his role as Deadpool after being cast as Hal Jordan in The Green Lantern. Liefeld confirms this is pure rumor.

Discussions underway for X-Men 4 and X-Men 5
Recently a special event was held to promote the soon to be released X-Men Origins: Wolverine DVD and Blu-ray. X-Men Origins: Wolverine director Gavin Hood attended the event together with X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner.
I’ve already posted the key info that surfaced regarding Gavin Hood, which was basically that he’s not yet attached to direct X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 and that the film is still a long way off. You can read that article here.
But it seems the most interesting information to surface came from Donner who served up some tidbits on X-Men 4, X-Men 5, and X-Men: First Class. She also commented on what she thinks about the controversy surrounding Ryan Reynolds taking on the starring roles in both Deadpool and The Green Lantern.
