Kirsten Prout is the Vampire Lucy in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

Kirsten Prout has been cast as the vampire Lucy in the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Prout is best known for her role as Amanda in ABC’s Kyle XY but her resume includes guest starring roles in Stargate SG:1 and The Dead Zone. She also appeared in the super-hero action film Elektra.

The story of Eclipse will follow heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle.  Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle and a malicious vampire looks for revenge.

David Slade (30 Days of Night / Hard Candy) will direct.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released in theaters June 30 2010.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits theaters before Eclipse on November 20, 2009.

Summit Entertainment has announced principal photography on the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is underway.

The story of Eclipse will follow heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle.  Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle and a malicious vampire looks for revenge.

Xavier Samuel cast as vampire Riley in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

An unknown 25 year old Australia actor has been named in the first of the new cast announcements for Eclipse, the third movie in The Twilight Saga.

Xavier Samuel has been hired to play the role of a newborn vampire named Riley, a good-looking college student who has a weakness for Victoria and joins her plot to kill Bella (Kristen Stewart).

Samuel has previously appeared in a number of Australian films including Newcastle, September, 2:37 and a yet to be released sci-fi thriller Road Train.  Eclipse will be his first US role.

The story of Eclipse will follow heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle.  Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle and a malicious vampire looks for revenge.

Robert Pattinson Confirms He’ll Return For Fourth ‘Twilight’ Movie

Robert Pattinson (aka Edward Cullen) has officially confirmed he will be returning for the fourth Twilight movie, titled Breaking Dawn.

Pattinson told the Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing but that he is presently unaware of when production will begin.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be based upon the fourth of Stephenie Meyer’s best selling Twilight novels.

Pattinson also confirmed he’ll be heading back to Vancouver in October to finish work on the third movie in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon will hit theaters:
Australia – November 19, 2009
USA – November 20, 2009
UK – November 27, 2009

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit theaters:
USA  – June 30, 2010
UK – July 9, 2010

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will hit theaters sometime in 2011.

David Slade (30 Days of Night / Hard Candy) has been tapped to direct the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The Story of Eclipse will follow heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle.  Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle and a malicious vampire looks for revenge.

“I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing Eclipse, ” said writer Stephenie Meyer. “He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight saga, and I’m so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition.”

Summit president of production Erik Feig added: “Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse is a muscular, rich, vivid book, and we at Summit looked long and hard for a director who could do it justice. We believe we have found that talent in David Slade, a director who has been able to create complex, visually arresting worlds.”

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be released in theaters June 30 2010, but not before The Twilight Saga: New Moon which hits theaters November 20, 2009.
