Transformers 3 Superbowl Commercial

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the year’s number one movie, had already become the top-selling home entertainment release of the year, with first-week sales of 7.5 million units, according to Home Media Magazine market research.
The sequel also became the biggest-selling Blu-ray Disc release of 2009, with first-week sales of 1.2 million units.
With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen coming out on DVD & Blu-ray in just a few days, on the 20th of October, 2009, it is now known that a special “The Optimus Prime Experience” package will be available, which will let you experience the state of the art augmented reality, a holographic 3D experience! It does look cool – watch preview of how it will work after the jump.
With only five days to go before the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on DVD/Blu-ray you can expect the rest of the week to be filled with Transformers buzz.
In the latest, writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci share their insight into what it’s like working with the Transformers cast (including Megan Fox), on the differences between working on Transformers and Star Trek, and on the issue of why some people hate the film whilst others love it.
On the polarized response to “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” with part of the audience loving it and part of the audience hating it:
Roberto Orci: Yeah, I expected it to be divisive. Sequels now are easy targets, number one; it was undertaken under the pressure of a writer’s strike, which makes us targets; it was longer, which was a debate. It was bigger, louder, and longer than the first one. There was controversy on the first one as well.
Alex Kurtzman: It’s very hard to gauge what is going to work for people, and what’s not going to work for people. Because what one person says is way too long, my 12-year-old cousin says “I wish it was longer.” That just totally confuses me. I think at the end of the day, Michael [Bay] has his rhythm and his pace, and he ends up determining how long he wants to make the movie.
Watch a deleted scene that lasts for more than two minutes from Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
I can see why this was deleted. Truly painful.

With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen DVD and Blu-Ray release date coming soon (October 20, 2009), some of the behind the scene video clips from the special features are available now. They give unique perspective into the making of this film. Watch the clips after the jump.
In March of this year Paramount announced that Transformers 3 would be released on July 1, 2011. The next day Transformers director Michael Bay publicly announced there was no way he could be involved with the movie if it was to be released any time prior to 2012.
Clearly “no way” really means “some way” since Bay has now announced not only that the release of Transformers 3 will occur exactly on the date Paramount originally announced, but that he has also already started working on the film.
Between October 8-9 Profiles in History will be auctioning off a ton of props and costumes from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Included in the auction are all the clothes worn by Megan Fox in the film (including what she’s wearing in the above image), a full-scale-screen-used Bumblebee (stands almost 17 feet tall), the 1977 Chevy Camaro Bumblebee car, and a host of other Transformers 2 items.
There are more than 100 items up for sale. In fact, you want to demonstrate just how crazy you are for Transformers memorabilia, you can even bid on an unopened 500 ml water bottle used by Shia LaBeouf in the film. It comes with a prop fire extinguisher which, I suppose, makes it a little less “crazy”…

Megan Fox helped 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' lead the pack of films that broke the US Summer Box Office record
Though the figures aren’t final, the record for the highest Box Office summer in US history has now been broken.
The record was last broken in 2007 with $4.16 billion, but now 2009 has surpassed that figure with $4.17 billion. It is expected that the final official figure will be around $4.18M.
Genre films were the clear bread winners. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen led the way with $399.4M. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came in second with $294.3M. Star Trek ran fifth with $256.7M, X-Men Origins: Wolverine ran seventh with $179M, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’s $132.M is expected to pass Angels and Demons ($133.4M) to sneak into the top list once the final figures are in.
