Wolverine's Jacket from the first 'X-Men' Movie
Before I say more, yes I’m aware this photo of Wolverine is from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and not the first X-Men movie. After searching and not finding an image quick enough I decided it really didn’t matter too much.
To be clear, this collectible is modeled on Wolverine’s Jacket from X-Men and not the one in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But it’s close nonetheless.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, this replica jacket is advertised as having been “extensively researched and replicated using only the finest authentic materials as worn in X-Men, the first movie of the blockbuster trilogy” and as “the only jacket replicating all details and approved by both Marvel and 20th Century Fox.”

X-Men Origins: Wolverine producer Lauren Shuler has made no secret of the fact that her favorite X-Men character is Gambit. As the powerhouse behind the X-Men feature film franchise there’s no doubt in our mind that Shuler’s love for the character is playing a huge part in why as we speak internal discussions are underway on how to develop a Gambit spinoff movie.
There’s no doubt that 20th Century Fox are keen to do something with Gambit, so much so that there’s already been talk of X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer helming the flick.
“Nothing would please me more than to bring Bryan [Singer] on for another movie,” Donner said. “And, if it’s like the first Deadpool or the first Gambit, I think, I mean, I hope he would be interested.”
There’s also no doubt that Taylor Kitsch, who played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine would jump at the chance to reprise the role.
“I’m just excited to go deeper into Gambit. It’s a flattering thing when people say that the only shitty part about the character is we didn’t see enough of him. If that’s the case, bring it on. I want to go deep into Gambit,” Kitsch recently told Rotten Tomatoes.

Halle Berry as Storm
X-Men Origins: Wolverine producer Lauren Shuler Donner has recently talked up a lot of X-Men spinoffs. Under discussion are X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Magneto, an X-Men Origins: Wolverine prequel, a Gambit spinoff and a Deadpool spinoff.
Now it seems Halle Berry (X-Men / X2 / X-Men: The Last Stand) has added a request for an X-Men Origins: Storm movie.
“I think that would be great, ” she told The Sun. “I think Storm deserves her own movie.”
Would she return to reprise her role as the weather-wielding mutant?
“Maybe – if I can still fit in the suit,” she said.

Speaking on Fox Movie Channel’s Life After Film School, Lauren Shuler Donner, who produced the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine as well as all the previous X-Men films, says she hopes to turn X-Men: First Class into a franchise.
“It is the first class of Xavier’s school, way back when, so it’s young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that’ll be really fun,” Donner said. “I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world. And hopefully First Class will become its own franchise and we can follow them as they grow up.”
X-Men: First Class has for some time been scheduled for release in 2010 although the movie is still in the very early stages of production. Josh Schwartz (Chuck /Gossip Girl/ The OC) is in charge of the screenplay which according to the IMDB is still only at the outline stage, hence a 2010 release would seem highly unlikely.
Additionally, Donner also confirmed that ‘X-Men Origins: Magneto’ remains in development, although the green-light for a Magneto based spinoff will very much hinge on the success of Wolverine.
The entire interview, which includes the producer talking about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, will be repeated on the Fox Movie channel Friday at 1 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and midnight; Monday at 3:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.; Tuesday, April 21 at 9:30 p.m.; Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m.; and Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Transformers 2 - Filming on location at the Pyramids
Avatar - Total Film have posted an exclusive interview with James Cameron where he gives you a gazillion reasons why you should be watering at the mouth over his upcoming sci fi blockbuster, Avatar. At the start of the year I voted Avatar as the most anticipated movie of 2009 and although you’re not seeing mass marketing information about it like you are Terminator: Salvation or Transformers 2, read this interview and you might just share my view.
X Men Origins: Wolverine - A cameo with Storm was shot for the movie but, alas, its not going to find its way into the movie. But we should still see it on the DVD when it finally makes it there. How do I know? Widscreen have posted an exclusive video interview with the film’s producer Lauren Shuler Donner here.
X Men: First Class – Yes, this is an all new live-action X Men movie that’s in development with a scheduled release date of 2010. Josh Schwartz is writing the script but given that there’s no director on board as yet it’s not looking 2010 likely. Recently Schwartz told MTV that he wasn’t allowed to divulge anything regarding the script, saying only that it’s exciting and going to be huge.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – As we anticipate a little more footage from the new movie (new trailer to be released Monday), Michael Bay has told the guys at Collider that Transformers 2 is “Epic in Scale” and that he has made it darker and given the Transformers more personality. At present the film, which is still being edited, will run almost two and a half hours. Additionally Transformers 2 has been shot using IMAX cameras, and Bay is quoted as saying that the IMAX version of the film is very different to watch than the standard cinema, citing the IMAX footage as “Awesome.” Read the rest of this entry »
If you love X-Men, particularly the comics more so than the movies, then you already know Rogue is a very cool character.
In the movies she was played down as a child, but in the comics she’s bad-ass. I somewhat liken her power to being on par with Superman himself. In the cartoon series she has a hot husky voice too! Rogue is hot in all respects which is why die hard X-Men fans will no doubt be very interested in this replica statue based off art by critically acclaimed comic book artist Adam Hughes.
Standing 16″ tall and weighing 5.9kg, there are only going to be 1000 of these made available throughout the entire world. The detail on the piece is astounding.
Fans who have bought one have flipped over it and the print artwork that comes with it (that it was based on).
Don’t waste time though, it won’t be available forever. This particular Rogue Comiquette Polystone Statue is actually being offered as a second-chance. I’ve posted it here because its sale is exclusive to Sideshow Collectibles and once sold out, Marvel and X-Men comic fans will have no other choice than to miss out.
If you’re into Rogue, check out more images of her replica statue at Sideshow Collectibles now.
