Last time I wrote about Battlestar Galactica: The Plan word was Syfy were intending to air the movie in November.  Apparently that’s not the case as Syfy are now intending to air it sometime in 2010.

In other words, the only way to see The Plan between now and an undisclosed date next year is to buy it on DVD or Blu-ray, which I’m guessing is Syfy’s underlying purpose behind the delay.

The Plan chronicles the first 281 days of the Battlestar Galactica series through the eyes of the Cylons. Director Edward James Olmos (who also stars as Commander William Adama) has said the film will pull together so many strings that you’ll be compelled to watch the entire series again.

Given that the DVD version is said to run 30 minutes longer than the version that will air on Syfy, consisting primarily of footage from the Cylon’s perspective, it’s probably best to go for that version anyway.

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan can be pre-ordered now in time for its release on October 27, 2009.

This is an interesting premise, but smacks of wringing the last few pennies out of a great show
