SYFY president Dave Howe informed reporters that he believes the January ratings would be greatly affected through the DVD release followed by the online launch of the pilot. I watched the pilot per this anouncement and found the new show to be interesting and I am excited about the series starting. The issues they are taking about at the very beginning are really difficult sudjects to settle. I hope they can keep the this kind of thought provoking subjects as a continuing part of the show.
It may be too deep for some but other parts of the story line may be enough to keep those folks interested. Seldom does tv ask such deep questions to it audience. In my view the pilot as a movie is pretty good on its own.
Someone that has seen the dvd of the pilot please tell us what was different between the dvd movie and the pilot?

Bring it on. I’m so ready for this, especially after the craptastic failure that was everything in “The Plan” after the first 15 minutes.
I bought the pilot on DVD. It was intriguing, and while set in the BSG universe it different enough from BSG that it will make fascinating viewing.
I’m planning to make a habit out of watching it every week, just like I did with BSG. But, God, I hope it doesn’t suck. I don’t think I can take any more BSG fail after “The Plan”.
