I guess it will come out in the summer. But NO, Eureka does not lend itself to being a musical! You want a musical tv show watch GLEE. I like Glee a lot too. Eureka is scifi, let it be scifi, Glee is musical let it be musical…

Eureka the musical makes perfect sense to me. All the odd things they have encountered & mind and bodies being taken over. It is just one more of those plot devices. What about Buffy the musical, that was fun. Maybe bring in Joss as guest writer and director for the episodes. Oh yea, Dr. Horrible is entertaining. Besides as good as this show is there are far more terrible/boring/seen it plot ideas in this show than 2 musical episodes to complain about. Will they-won’t they…fall in love, kiss etc.. drives me insane. And so many shows use that tired device.

I love eureka and I’m thrilled to see that there will be a 4th season let alone a full 22 episodes. But what’s with syfy president wanting 2 episodes to be musicals? Uhh dude where are you from? Musicals? Seriously?syfy must have hired you from disney or nick at night. Let’s put it this way, musical and eureka don’t mix. The characters would just look stupid. You will be defiling the good show eureka if you make musicals out of it. Let the directors and producers of eureka do their job. They are the ones who put eureka on the map in the first place.

Tickled Pink to hear that Season 4 has been confirmed for Eureka. We don’t really get much of a viewing choice in Australia and believe me, Eureka is well and truly amongst the best. BUT PLEASE…. Do not make this show a lightweight laughing stock by making musical episodes. Seriously, the fans hate musicals & I can well imagine that the Talent wouldn’t be too wrapped in the idea either. It simply is not a recipe for success. Hope that “the powers that be” reconsider their “vision” for the series. Great work so far. Best of Luck.

Yeah, it’s coming back! Just watched a couple of reruns to quell the with drawl I’ve had the last several months. Two musical episodes? If you don’t like musicals, don’t watch them. I personally think they are fun. I wouldn’t want them all the time but once in a while, it’s great. Can’t wait for the new episodes!

please dont make this show suck by turning it into a musical. That would utterly ruin it and I would stop watching. I agree with my sister Laurel. Only a small portion of people would enjoy it. They would most likely lose veiwers over such a horrible decision. Scrubs can pull it off… even cartoons… but not this show. ITS PERFECT THE WAY IT IS.

Eureka is one of the best shows I have ever seen. I was so excited when I learned of a 4th season. Props!!! However, if they make ANY episode a musical… then they will be ruining the show. THIS SHOW IS NOT MADE FOR MUSICALS!!! A very small percentage of the viewing audience would enjoy it yes… but about 98 percent of us would be disgusted by it. WE DONT WANT A MUSICAL!!! we only want EUREKA. THE WAY IT IS!!! just more episode. I am hoping they will do something this season to make Henry’s character more complete. Its broken my heart watching him suffer over kim. PLEASE DONT MAKE MY FAVORITE SHOW SUCK!!! NO MUSICAL!!!!

Season 4 starts in July, and is rumored that the 22 episodes will most-likely be split across two years. Personally I think that’s stupid, and its not 1 season but 2. I really hope that this is really just a rumor, but I don’t think it will be. I’m not that big of a fan of musicals but it might be kinda funny to watch.

Great news to found out there’s going to be a 4th season, however, what’s the deal with 2 musical episodes? I’ve read previous comments, and musicals are definitely for a certain crowd. The only musical that I have ever been able to enjoy was The Blues Brothers. I certainly understand the context for a show like Scrubs to have a musical episode or two, too bad I missed it, however, I really don’t see any place for a musical in a science fiction context. If there was some plot twist, where there was some device or nano-organism that caused people to dance and sing, I suppose it COULD be made into an episode, but to just create two ‘musical’ episodes sounds ridiculous, and I’d find it VERY hard to sit through. Why on Earth would someone wreck the show with musical episodes?!?!? Whose wet dream is this idea?

I’m not sure I like the idea of Eureka having musical episodes but, Robert, you sound like such an idiot! Most movies and tv shows are not entirely realistic (usually not realistic at all) and a musical is a style of performance art that uses something that most people enjoy…music. That’s not really that dumb of an idea. Its not that I think you should like musicals, but that was probably one of the dumbest reasonings I’ve ever come across.

I hope the musical episodes will be good. I have a feeling they will do something along the lines of auditions for a play that everyone’s getting competitive about or someone creates a potion the makes even the worst singers good and it backfires. I don’t know. I’m sure they’ll make it good.
