Promo Trailer For Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
If you tuned in for the Battlestar Galactica finale, then you’ve already seen this short teaser to the new and final Battlestar Galactica television movie, ‘The Plan’. If not, then enjoy:
‘The Plan’ is directed by Edward James Olmos (Admiral William Adama) and written by Jane Espenson. It begins after the destruction of the twelve colonies before the series unfolds, or if we are to believe the official press release, it will start before the events of the miniseries. Either way, the plan takes place way back in the beginning and follows a story from the perspective of three major Cylon characters -- Cavil, Anders and (Chief) Tyrol as they struggle with how to handle something they didn’t expect: human survivors.
Each week Battlestar Galactica’s opening credits reinforced the notion that the Cylon’s had a plan. I’ve noticed many people complaining that the recent finale didn’t enlighten anyone as to what ‘the plan’ was. Well, that’s because this movie is meant to do just that. In fact, if we are to listen to Edward James Olmos, it might do it so well that we’ll be compelled to watch the series all over again just to see how it all came together:
Olmos: ”When Battlestar fans see ‘The Plan’, they’re all going to have to go back and watch the entire series again.”
The Plan will air November 2009. It is expected to be released on DVD June 2009.
